This festive season, get ready to flaunt jewellery that procures strikingly beautiful mix of royalty and tribal essences. I say, feast your eyes upon one of Apala’s latest collection—’The Royal Tribe’.
Jewellery designer Sumit Sawhney affirms this was ‘an evolution’ where he fused tribal and royal styles; and in doing so he created a whole new genre of modern jewellery with undertones of traditional aesthetics.
This collection has the finesse and the preferred gemstones of royalty with the use of favoured traditional elements like peacocks, floral designs, lions, elephants, big gemstones and multi-layering.
For tribal insight he sought inspiration from various regional settlements through his use of weaves, bunching styles, haslis and choker necklaces, bold anklets and distinct arrangements of forms.
